"The court sanctioned the decision," Mantas Martisius, chairman of Lithuania's media watchdog, the Radio and Television Commission of Lithuania, told BNS Lithuania following Vilnius regional Court's decision.
In his words, internet providers have five days to block access to sputniknews.lt.
The RTCL's sanction followed its conclusion that the Sputnic website unlawfully published contents of the Lithuanian national broadcaster's news website lrt.lt without consent.
The watchdog's representatives say the decision is not related to Sputniks' contents but Lithuania's intelligence said last year the website is one of Russia's instrument used to implement its informational policy in the country.
