"We can't say the cyber attack itself is over, but its scale is definitely reduced. Our public infrastructure is in good shape, and several weak spots have been reinforced by our team, and they have looked at what else needs to be reinforced in the future," Arturas Ketlerius, the PR head at Ignitis Group, told BNS. "Now, the situation is good and stable".
The group was hit by "the biggest cyber attack in a decade" on Saturday as it experienced distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks that affected the operation of its websites and the availability of its electronic services. The group said it had taken the attacks under control just before noon on the same day.
Ketlerius confirmed that no data was lost during the attack. Lithuanian institutions and businesses have been hit by wide-range cyber attacks since late June.
