Kaunas signs stadium and "Science Island" contract with Autokausta

The authorities of Lithuania's second-largest city of Kaunas have signed a contract with Autokausta on the reconstruction of the Darius and Girenas Stadium and the construction of Lithuania's science museum, known as "Science Island", on the Nemunas Island.

The stadium reconstruction work is estimated at 32 million euros and the construction of the "Science Island" will be worth 24.3 million euros. Both projects are expected to be completed by 2022, the local municipality said.
