Lithuania’s electricity generation beat consumption for the first time since closing Ignalina nuclear plant

Electricity generation in Lithuania was higher than total consumption for one hour on Monday afternoon, with the wind picking up and the sun shining, said Litgrid, electricity transmission operator, on Tuesday.
