Efforts to hold a referendum on Lithuania’s switchover to the euro and to preserve the current national currency, the litas, have fallen through as the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania has ruled that the decision by the Central Electoral Commission (VRK) not to register a referendum initiative group and not to issue any signature sheets thereto is legitimate.
