Thunderstorms uproot 50,000 trees in Lithuania

The State Forestry Enterprise (Valstybinė miškų urėdija, VMU) has reported that 30,000 cubic metres of windthrow and windsnap, i.e. trees that have been uprooted or broken by wind, has accumulated after thunderstorms hit Lithuania on 6-7 August.
