The contest was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the United Nations and attracted 44 talented artists from all over the world. In the first round, after the public online voting, 10 best art works were selected, out of which three top works were selected by a jury consisting of art-knowledgeable children. The artists from Lithuania, Liechtenstein and China are among the winners. The Director of the UN Office in Geneva awarded her special prize to the artist from Brazil.

The art works will be exhibited this autumn at the Palace of Nations in Geneva.

Sigita Maslauskaitė-Mažylienė’s painting “Wall” is part of the author’s project “By the Rivers of Babylon. Refugees and Exiles”, on which she worked in 2017-2018.
