Lithuanian Healthcare Ministry may be granted access to confidential patients' data

The Lithuanian Government has approved the amendments to the Law on Public Health Monitoring that have been proposed by the Ministry of Healthcare. If the proposal finds support at the Seimas, the Ministry of Healthcare as well as its subordinate institutions will be authorised to process patients' personal data for statistical purposes.
