Blast-like sounds possible due to NATO jets drill this week

NATO fighter jets are set to train above northern Lithuania this week, the military said.

The Allied aircraft will do an exercise on Monday and Wednesday, the Lithuanian Armed Forces said. Explosion-like sounds may be heard in the region.

Italian Air Force pilots with Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets will take part in the exercise. The Italians are currently conducting NATO air policing in Lithuania.
