Bukauskas elected to lead Labour Party’s group in Seimas

MP Valentinas Bukauskas, interim leader of the Labour Party, has been elected as chair of the party’s group in the Seimas. In the role, he succeeds Viktoras Fiodorovas, who has recently left both the office and the party.

„We have elected Bukauskas as chair of the group unanimously,“ MP Andrius Mazuronis, former party leader, told ELTA on Thursday.

The Labour Party failed to win any seats in the recent European election, which prompted its leader Mazuronis to leave. The fate of the party remains unclear, he admitted.
