"Early voting starts and every citizen having an ID, a protection measure covering one's nose and mouth and their own pen can come to a place of early voting in any city in Lithuania and use one's right to vote," Laura Matjosaityte, chair of Lithuania's Central Electoral Commission, told BNS.

Voters are urged to come to vote wearing masks and having their own pens and not to forget their ID. People who will not have a mask or pan will be given them at a voting place.

On the election day on Sunday, people will be able to vote only at polling stations in their election constituency.

Matjosaityte is calling on elder voters and those in risk groups to use the early voting opportunity to about large flows of people on the election day.

More places for early voting have been set up in Lithuania for this vote.
