EU Commissioner Sinkevičius receives Ukraine’s state award

Lithuania’s delegated Member of the European Commission Virginijus Sinkevičius has been given a state award of Ukraine for his input in EU–Ukraine cooperation on environmental issues.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on bestowing the Order of Merit of the second degree on Sinkevičius.
Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Sinkevičius is awarded for the strengthening of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of environmental protection.
