“After the New Year holidays, I will temporarily move to Moldova, a candidate country for European Union membership. I will have the opportunity to share my experience with the Moldovan authorities responsible for the prevention of money laundering and the restitution of illegally and corruptly acquired assets to the state,” Bartkus said Friday on Facebook.
Bartkus was STT director from March 2018 to March 2023.
Previously, he served as the STT first deputy director.
