Krivas currently serves as the permanent representative of Lithuania to the United Nations Office and other international organisations in Geneva.

The diplomat was nominated to the new position by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

With the Government’s approval, a decree on appointment will have to be signed by President Gitanas Nausėda.

Ambassadors are appointed and dismissed by the president on a proposal of the Government with prior agreement of the Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs.
