Kaunas came in first, pushing last year's leader Vilnius to the second position. Palanga is up to the third position, rising from the 4th. Kaisiadorys District Municipality jumped to the 4th place, from 29th last year. And Klaipeda inched up to the 7th position from the 5th.
Skuodas District and Neringa Municipality scored the worst this year. The latter came in the last in 2018 as well.

"Private schools are becoming very strong competitors for municipal and state schools, and also for those that select schoolchildren during their selections processes. (…) They often get into the TOP-3, be it in terms of mathematics, English or biology, physics or chemistry," Jone Kucinaskaite, a journalist at the Reitingai magazine, told a press conference on Wednesday.
