MEPs call for checks whether Belarus uses ES support for Astravyets N-plant

The European Parliament (EP) on Thursday denounced the Belarusian and Russian response to the wave of protests in the countries, also expressing concern that the European Union's (EU) support to Belarus could be used for financing the Astravyets Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) close to Lithuania's borders.
