New MP Sejonienė takes office after Mažylis goes to Brussels

Conservative Jurgita Sejonienė on Tuesday was sworn in as a member of Parliament. She took the seat of her fellow party member Liudas Mažylis, who chose to work in Brussels.

Sejonienė, radiologist by profession, was an MP in the previous Seimas and worked in the parliamentary health committee.

In the European Parliament, Mažylis replaced Andrius Kubilius who became the European commissioner for defence and space. Both of them represent the Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrat party (TS-LKD).
