Parliament Speaker: discussions on ratification of Istanbul Convention to resume after court’s ruling

Latvia ratified the Istanbul Convention in November 2023, while Estonia did so in 2017, leaving Lithuania the last of the Baltic countries to approve the document adopted by the Council of Europe in 2011. Parliament Speaker Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen says the Seimas will resume deliberations on the issue once the Constitutional Court issues its judgement.
