The president instructed the incoming prime minister to form the Cabinet of Ministers and submit the Government’s Programme to the Seimas no later than 15 days from his appointment.
The Seimas approved Social Democrat Paluckas, leader of the centre-left coalition, as head of Government earlier on Thursday.
Following the vote, Paluckas had a meeting with the president to discuss the set-up of the Cabinet.
