President has intestinal polyp removed, feels well

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda had an intestinal polyp removed at Santara Clinics in Vilnius end the end of last week. The president now feels well, his spokesman Antanas Bubnelis told BNS on Wednesday.

"An intestinal polyp was found during the president's planned medical examination and it was removed during a minimally invasive procedure at Santara Clinics at the end of last week," the presidential spokesman said.

In his words, the results came back on Tuesday and showed that the preventive procedure was done in time.

"The results, received yesterday, show the preventive procedure was done in time. Medics say the president doesn’t need any additional treatment," Bubnelis said, adding that the president now feels great.
