President’s security adviser Budrys among candidates for next FM – media

Kęstutis Budrys, current chief security adviser to President Gitanas Nausėda, has been named as one of the candidates to become next foreign minister, 15min.lt reports.

Sources have told the news website Budrys’ candidacy could have been mentioned in Monday’s meeting between Nausėda and Gintautas Paluckas, Social Democrats’ candidate for prime minister.

Earlier reports suggested that Nausėda’s chief foreign policy adviser Asta Skaisgirytė and outgoing Ambassador to NATO Deividas Matulionis were seen as potential candidates to take the foreign minister’s post.
