Real estate makes up most of 1st couple's wealth

Real estate last year made up the bulk of the declared assets of Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda and his wife, Diana, and the family's debts totaled almost 100,000 euros.

The Nausedas owned residential property worth 527,000 euros and land worth 190,000 euros, according to the president's asset declaration made public by the State Tax Inspectorate on Wednesday.

The president also reported outstanding debts of 98,400 euros.

Lithuania's first couple held over 30,000 euros in bank accounts and owned vehicles worth 10,000 euros in late 2019.

Nauseda was elected Lithuanian president in May 2019. His previous asset declarations are not publicly available.
