After Lietuvos Geležinkeliai (Lithuanian Railways, LG) announced its plans to rebuild a railway stretch to Renge dismantled nearly a decade ago to eliminate a violation that led to a European Commission (EC) fine, Lithuania's Transport and Communication Minister Rokas Masiulis says the rebuilding is a political step, not just an economic move.
