Rosatom seeks EU favors on Astravyets, Gazprom retains influence in Lithuania

Russia's nuclear energy corporation Rosatom seeks to form a positive image of the Astravyets Nuclear Power Plant under construction in Belarus by way of drawing the European Commission to its side. Furthermore, the Russian Gazprom concern continues its efforts, via mediators, to preserve the influence on the Lithuanian gas market, the Lithuanian State Security Department said.
