Seimas extends spring session until 18 July

Members of parliament voted Thursday to extend the current session until 18 July. Usually, the spring session ends on 30 June as set out in law.

Seimas Speaker Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen’s proposal was favoured by 89 MPs with 15 abstentions

The Parliament will hold its plenary sittings on 11-12, 16 and 18 July.

The extraordinary sitting on 12 July will be dedicated to an official ceremony to inaugurate re-elected President Gitanas Nausėda.
