World leaders start arriving for NATO Vilnius summit

World leaders are heading for Lithuania on the eve of the NATO summit. On Monday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will arrive in the capital in the daytime, while US President Joe Biden’s plane is set to land in Vilnius in the evening.

Stoltenberg will meet with President Gitanas Nausėda on Monday to discuss the last details ahead of the summit. A joint press conference will follow at the summit venue, Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO.

US President Biden and Nausėda will have a brief meeting at the Vilnius Airport on Monday evening, the presidency said.

On Tuesday, 11 July, an official welcoming ceremony for the US president will be held in the Courtyard of the Presidential Palace.
