The minister plans three meetings in London and Peterborough on Friday through Sunday. They will be aimed at providing key information to Lithuanian citizens on work, housing, social payments, healthcare and business opportunities in Lithuania, the Ministry of Social Security and Labor said.
It also added that due to political uncertainty, it’s impossible to estimate whether the UK will leave the EU with or without a deal.
"The latter circumstance is important for Lithuanian citizens who now live and work in the UK," the ministry said.
The minister will be accompanied by experts from the Social Security and Labor Ministry, the Employment Service, the National Health Insurance Fund, as well as the business promotion agency Versli Lietuva and the migration information center Renkuosi Lietuva.
Around 200,000 Lithuanian citizens are estimated to reside in the UK.
