Combat Divers servicemen undertake complex special operations in water, during which in the open sea or within seaport waters they carry out training operation in case of a ship hijack. Depending on the plan, soldiers can carry out naval boarding from a helicopter, combat boat, deliver an underwater attack or attack from the surface of water, using canoes, small boats or combining both naval boarding and infiltration techniques.
First of all, Combat Divers must feel great in cold water and at the same time be able to carry out all sorts of tasks on land requiring physical endurance, special tactics, gun-handling and signalling skills.
Combat Divers operate speedboats, are able to parachute to land and into water, perform mining and exploding tasks. Combat Divers regularly train in Lithuania and other NATO countries.
