Lukyanov: Sanctions on Russia don’t work in the short term

The Lithuania Tribune spoke with Fedor Lukyanov, the editor-in-chief of Russia in Global Affairs, at the Riga Conference 2014. Mr Lukyanov is convinced that Western sanctions do not work because countries like Russia, priding itself on its independence and variance with accepted Western positions, are reluctant to change their line of action under pressure. In the long term, it might work though, the analyst said.
