No time to rest after longest Dakar Rally stage

The longest and the most challenging stage at Dakar Rally has taken its toll, with many contestants out of the race. However, the team of Benediktas Vanagas and Andrei Rudnitsky is moving up and will start the third stage among top thirty racers.

The team successfully finished the 350-kilometre desert stretch, albeit with an incident.

"Everything was going according to plan. Only a pushed out window unsettled us somewhat, pushing us down. We got stuck in 'fesh feshe' and lost perhaps ten positions," Vanagas says.
