State Tax Inspectorate won nomination at the European Enterprise Promotion Awards and SME Assembly ceremony in Italy

The Lithuania Tribune spoke to Ms Asta Strazdaitė, adviser of the Tax Payers Department at the State Tax Inspectorate of Lithuania. We discussed the recent nomination for the national tax administration at the European Enterprise Promotion Awards and SME Assembly in Italy, which, according to Strazdaitė, speaks volumes about the innovative approach to tax administration in Lithuania and the inspectorate's continuous strive to improve and adjust services to make them more user-friendly to both administrators and tax payers.

The administration of taxes is arguably one of the most challenging tasks in any country, including Lithuania. The representative of the Inspectorate mentioned that participation in the project allowed them to "better understand the needs and demands of our customers". Interesting ideas were raised about the future of the tax administration system in Lithuania, including the development of the mobile platform to make life easier for all.
