The Lithuanian Health Ministry may propose next week to make facemasks mandatory again, but is yet to decide on specific settings where people would be required to cover their faces.
The Lithuanian government would consider making facemasks mandatory in public again if coronavirus cases in the country spiked to over 15 per 100,000 people, Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga said on Monday.
Despite the ongoing lockdown introduced in Lithuania due to the coronavirus pandemic, the country’s capital will host a unique fashion event – a Facemask Fashion Week, which will be presented by artists on Tuesday.
It will be mandatory to wear facemasks in public in Lithuania as of Friday, the country's government decided on Wednesday.
