The Energy Ministry says it will allocate a further EUR 12 million in the coming weeks for a new call after home owners in a day reserved the entire EUR 8 million sum of support for installing solar power plants.

A platform of remote solar power plants was launched in Lithuania on Tuesday, making it possible for all households, including those in apartment buildings, to generate solar power.
The Lithuanian government plans to allocate 4.5 million euros in financial support to residents who have installed small solar power plants. Applications will be accepted as of May, the Energy Ministry says.
