Lithuanian Health Minister-designate Aurelijus Veryga on Tuesday described as a compromise the Peasant and Green Union's new proposal to allow an unlimited number of embryos to be created in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, but to put in place the requirement to store them indefinitely.
Amendments to Lithuania's new Law on Assisted Reproduction, which has not yet come into force, are submitted to the parliament on Tuesday with the aim of returning to a conservative version of the bill that limited the number of embryos created during in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.
