The Cabinet is expected to approve on Wednesday four service staff members and a vehicle for the president after her second term of office ends on July 12.
Under the law, a retired president is also entitled to a lifetime presidential retirement pay, personal protection, and housing. However, Grybauskaite plans to move from the presidential residence in Turniskes, a prestigious neighborhood of the Lithuanian capital, to her own house in the district of Vilnius.
The Social Security and Labor Ministry has registered a draft document providing Grybauskaite with a monthly retirement pay of almost 3,700 euros, which accounts for nearly 40 percent of her presidential salary.
