Lithuania in for chilly Easter weekend

The coming Easter weekend in Lithuania will be chilly with rainfall and sleet, weather services said.

The night to Saturday should bring precipitation to many districts, mainly rainfall and sleet, with fogs in some districts, weak freezing rain and black ice. The lowest temperature should be at -2-+3C. Precipitation, mainly rainfall, is expected in the afternoon. The mercury should be at +5-+10C.

Sunday should also be rainy, with black ice forecast for early hours of the day. Northwestern and northern winds are expected on Sunday, reaching 15-18 m/s in gusts. Nighttime temperature should be at -2-+3C, while daytime temperature should climb to +2-+7C. The second day of Easter should feature lower temperatures - -4--5C at night and +4-+5C during the day.
