INSTRUCTIONS

1. Foreigners are banned from arriving in the country, excluding persons ensuring necessary deliveries of goods to Lithuania, crew members, family members of Lithuanian citizens, and persons having the right to live and work in Lithuania, diplomats, representatives of NATO military missions. Foreign citizens have until 11.59 p.m. on Wednesday to cross the Lithuanian territory to reach their countries. The restrictions do not apply to the movement of goods.

2. Lithuanian citizens are banned from leaving the country, unless they live or work abroad. In exceptional cases, permits can be received from the head of the State Border Guard Service or his authorized persons. Movement within the country is not restricted.

3. The number of border checkpoints to enter Lithuania is reduced to eight. The border can be crossed via airports and the state seaport as well.

4. People must self-isolate for two weeks after returning from foreign countries.

5. All educational establishments are mandatorily closed for two weeks, except for kindergartens for medics and special services officers' children. Schoolchildren are on vacation and preparations are underway to carry out the educational process remotely.

6. The operation of shops, excluding food shops, pharmacies, specialized veterinary pharmacies, and food-selling marketplaces, is banned. Pharmacies must avoid direct contact of people.

7. The operation of cafes and bars is banned, excluding take-away food services.

8. All public events in both closed and open spaces are banned.

9. Cruise ships are banned from entering the port of Klaipeda.

10. Public administration establishments are banned from providing non-necessary services.

11. All culture, leisure, entertainment establishments are closed.

12. All activity at day and activity centers for children, disabled and elderly people are banned.

13. Visiting patients at medical treatment establishments is banned, with an exception for minors with a doctor's permission, alongside visiting prisoners at incarceration facilities and those living in group and communal living establishments.

14. Planned operations are postponed at medical establishments, excluding necessary medical assistance, consultations and other non-necessary procedures at medical establishments, including vaccination and dental services.

15. SPA, rehabilitation services are banned if they are not related to treatment. The operation of hair and beauty salons, casinos and slot machine parlors is banned.

16. The number of passengers on intercity buses and trains is restricted to maintain the necessary distance among passengers and vehicles are mandatorily disinfected. The recommendation is also to apply the requirement to city transport.

17. The public sector must ensure the provision of urgent functions and suspend options services. The recommendation also applies to the private sector.

18. Hotels and other facilities, if necessary, can be used to isolate people under agreements between municipalities and services providers.

19. Healthcare specialists, medical interns can be involved in work irrespective of their subordination.

RECOMMENDATIONS

1. Workers of both the public and private sectors are recommended to work from home.

2. People are recommended to pay non-cash.

3. All religious communities in Lithuania are recommended against holding religious rites to avoid public gatherings.

The quarantine is scheduled to end on midnights from March 30 to March 31.
