Under the government resolution, audience-attended cultural, entertainment, sports and other events are allowed. Up to 300 spectators are allowed to attend outdoor events from June 1 to June 15, and up to 100 people can attend indoor events. Later on, the number might be increased.
All event participants will be required to wear nose and mouth coverings and keep distance of at least one meter outdoors and two meters indoors. The distance requirement will not apply to family members.
Also as of Monday, higher-graders are allowed to return to schools but local municipalities have been given the right to decide whether to resume activities.
The opening hours of cafes, restaurants, bars and night clubs are extended by one hour to 11 p.m.
Moreover, under the government decision, Lithuania is opening its borders to citizens of countries where coronavirus cases have been below 25 per population of 100,000 for the past two weeks.
People arriving from these countries will not be required to self-isolate for two weeks. Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga will publish an updated list of such countries every Monday.
Also as of June 1, border control will be lifted on Lithuanian-Latvian border. It was introduced at the beginning of the lockdown. It means that people can leave for Latvia and come back to Lithuania through at any point and there will be no permanent control procedures.
Lithuania was placed under lockdown on March 16 and it was extended until June 16 last Wednesday.
