Nauseda was viewed favorably by 64.7 percent of those polled by Vilmorus.

The president-elect overtook outgoing President Dalia Grybauskaite, whose approval rating edged down to 61.3 percent in June, from 63.9 percent in April.

Kaunas Mayor Visvaldas Matijosaitis held onto his number three position with 57.1 percent, down from 59.4 percent in April.

Viktoras Pranckietis, the speaker of the Seimas, saw his approval rating jump to 53.7 percent in June, from 42.5 percent in April.

Further down the list of Lithuania's ten politicians with the highest approval ratings are Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius with 45.7 percent (compared with 48.2 percent in April), Transport and Communications Minister Rokas Masiulis with 42.6 percent (47.2 percent), Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis with 40.4 percent (37.6 percent), Economy and Innovation Minister Virginijus Sinkevicius with 33.9 percent (30.4 percent), Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Simasius with 33.1 percent (37.9 percent), and Remigijus Zemaitaitis, the leader of the Order and Justice party with 32.3 percent (32.5 percent).

Vilmorus conducted the poll between June 7 and 15.
