Lithuanian Agriculture Minister Bronius Markauskas warned on Tuesday that farmers may suffer losses if heavy rains continue to lash the country.

The Lithuanian parliament on Thursday rejected a proposal to relocate the ministries for environment and agriculture from the capital of Vilnius to the second-biggest city of Kaunas.

The European Commission has confirmed that the Lithuanian fishing vessel Jūros Vilkas (Sea Wolf) was not in Russian waters when it was apprehended and forcibly towed to the northern port of Murmansk, the Lithuanian Agriculture Ministry said on Thursday.
