Buyers in supermarkets across Lithuania donated 421,000 euros worth of groceries to those in need during a campaign organized by the Food Bank over the past two days.
During a two-day Food Bank collection, the food-based charity collected more than €300,000 worth of food products, which has set a new record for collections held during the spring.
The Food Bank (Maisto Bankas) campaign which took place on Friday and Saturday throughout Lithuania saw record high contributions, the organisers say.
