Lithuanian Cancer Patient Coalition

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled that Šarūnas Narbutas, ex-president of the Lithuanian Cancer Patient Coalition (POLA), was detained unlawfully in a pre-trial investigation into the Government’s purchase of reagents for COVID-19 testing more than three years ago.

Sarunas Narbutas, the president of the Lithuanian Cancer Patient Coalition (POLA), is suspected of influence peddling in an investigation into a 6-million-euro procurement of reagents for coronavirus tests, the Special Investigation Service (STT) said on Tuesday.
