On Friday, President Gitanas Nausėda took the presidential oath at the Seimas, pledging for the second time to protect and strengthen Lithuania, to serve the Homeland, democracy, and the well-being of the Lithuanian people, said the Office of the President.

MP Remigijus Žemaitaitis broke his oath with antisemitic statements and seriously violated the Constitution, the Constitutional Court ruled Thursday.

Lithuania’s new Minister of National Defence Laurynas Kasčiūnas took oath in parliament on Tuesday, 26 March.
