Renaldas Augustinavičius has resigned as Lithuania's deputy culture minister, the Culture Ministry said on Tuesday.

Vilnius' historic Gediminas Hill remains in a critical but stable state after the winter, with a risk of landslides at the base of the western slope and at a part of the southeastern defensive wall, an official said on Wednesday.

Specialists on Saturday decided to close the Gediminas Hill in downtown Vilnius to visitors after a landslide on its eastern slope.
