Two Lithuanians and a Norwegian were returned to Lithuania on Friday as part of a spy swap with Russia, the Lithuanian president's office said.

Vilnius will repeatedly ask Moscow to allow Yevgeny Mataitis, a dual Lithuanian-Russian citizen convicted of spying in Russia, to serve his sentence in Lithuania.

Lithuanian authorities have not yet received answers from the Russian Justice Ministry about the possibility for two Lithuanian citizens sentenced on spying charges to serve their sentences in their home country.
