Lithuania is recalling its ambassador to Minsk, Andrius Pulokas, for consultations, the Foreign Ministry said late on Monday.

Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis is inviting the foreign minister and several ambassadors to discuss the country's relations with Russia and other Eastern countries.

Minsk handed on Wednesday a diplomatic note to Lithuania following media reports about an incident while handling radioactive waste at the shutdown Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant.
