On 1 January 2025, the Lithuanian Cyber Command (LTCYBERCOM) established by initiative of the Ministry of National Defence was opened, reports the Ministry of National Defence.

Enhancement of European capacities against cyber threats has to be among top priorities of the community, Defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis said at a meeting of the EU Defense ministers in Brussels.
