NATO command centres in Lithuania and five other Eastern European countries are set to be established in the coming summer, and allied training events will be stepped up in the Baltic states, a NATO general said in Vilnius on Tuesday.

A top NATO general will come to Vilnius on Tuesday and is scheduled to meet with the Lithuanian army leadership to discuss the security situation in the region and the deployment of NATO capabilities in the country.
