Prior to the annual OSCE Ministerial Council on 3-4 December, a meeting of the Group of Friends of Ukraine with the Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Dzhemilev was held on Lithuania's initiative, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Russia, China, Venezuela and Angola ignored the recent informal UN Security Council meeting, organized by Lithuania, on the human rights situation in Crimea which was annexed by Russia a year ago.
If all European countries had the same position on the Ukrainian-Russian conflict as Lithuania, this "banditism" would have been prevented, says Mustafa Dzhemilev, leader of Crimean Tatars and a member of the Ukrainian parliament.
